mouse cursor in word 2000 (word 2000)

Hi,

The mouse arrow in word 2000 is pointing to the left rather than the right. Also when I select text and bold it the entire paragraph becomes justified center!

How do I correct the problem? I tried to erase the Hnormal.dot (Word is Hebrew/English) but this didnt work.

Thanks,
Ivan

1. The mouse pointer changes depending on where it is in Word. On my (Dutch) system, it points northwest when it is not over a document, i.e. over the dark grey application background, or over a menu or toolbar, over a scroll bar or over the status bar. It points northeast when it is over the left margin of a document, where it can be used to select an entire line or paragraph. It is an I-beam (insertion bar) when it is over most other areas in a document.

2. Just a wild guess: select Tools | AutoCorrect..., 'AutoFormat as you type' tab. If 'Define styles based on formatting' is checked, clear the check box.
