    finding old advice (excel 2000)

A few weeks ago someone gave me a message-box based solution to a file/save macro that I had been posting questions on. I thought I had printed out the macro, but, alas, I guess I didn't. Now, my Personal.xls with the working macro disappeared, and I cannot seem to locate the solution posted here. It involved using a pathway string + a message boxquestion to save or not, and it worked fine. But I will be !@#$d if I can find it on the postings that related to that File Save macro. If the member who suggested the solution could re-post it, it would make my day! Thanks

Do you mean the thread starting at <post#=263029>post 263029</post#>?

(How did I find this? Not by magic... While in the Excel forum, I clicked the Poster column heading. This sorted the threads by Poster (descending) instead of by Last Post. I clicked Next Page until I came to your threads; the thread titled FileSave macro was easy to find then.)

Thanks for the guidance. When I sort by poster I only get two posts under my member name...you seem to have gotten more...I suppose that is done by expanding the date-range on the index? thanks.

I had the "Show threads" dropdown set to "from all dates".
