msn messenger / windows messenger (XP)

I'm a little confused about the requirement to upgrade messenger. I use Windows Messenger and it is the latest version. I did previously install MSN Messenger, though. I don't use it, but it's still there.

Do I need to do anything?

    Thanks.

No, according to MS your version of Windows Messenger should be OK.

Read all about it in the current edition of Woody's Windows Watch...

Actually, that's what confused me in the first place. For a rare occassion, I thought Woody wasn't very clear about what needed to be done.
