XP Home: IE not remembering passwords (XP Home original)

IE no longer asks to remember passwords. How can I turn this back on?

Also, when I type the first few letters of something I have typed before in a text box (like my ID), IE does not show a drop down list of previously typed items with same letters to start. How do I get this to happen?

Is all this possibly because I am running too old a version of IE?

Go to Internet Opions> advanced, scroll down to make sure "inline auto complete" is checked. <img src=/S/cool.gif border=0 alt=cool width=15 height=15>

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
