Is it just the few computers I use, and the way I've set Mozilla up? Or is it standard across the PC world? On all four PCs that I use, on a regular basis, I've installed various versions of Mozilla. And on each of these PCs, the vertical scroll doesn't respond, when I use the scroll wheel on my various mice.
Each computer in question has some form, of an optical scroll mouse from Logitech. One is a cordless, another is corded, and the other two are the "cheap" versions from Logitech. Two of the PCs are laptops, one is an IBM Thinkpad, whose scroll button and trackpoint device also don't scroll in Mozilla, and the other is a Dell notebook with the Synaptec (sp??) touch pad, with a "scroll pad", also not scrolling.
I can't be the only one having this problem.... can I??

Chris, I've got a Logitech MouseMan Cordless Wheel mouse that I've had for a few years and I don't have any trouble scrolling. I just triple-checked a few sites, including here in The Lounge. I wouldn't think the OS has anything to do with it, but I'm running XP Pro SP1. I've NOT installed ANY Logitech software for either the mouse or the cordless keyboard and XP handles them just fine on its own. Device Manager says the mouse is simply a PS/2 Compatible, made by MS of all things - see screenshot. BTW, I'm on Moz 1.4.....

Thanks for the follow up Al...
After reading your post, I attempted to find the same dialog box on the Win2K laptop I'm using at the moment. Similar dialogs... but nothing said "Microsoft". I decided to check out what version of Mouseware I'm running. Turns out, I wasn't. So, off to Logitech, and I got mouseware 9.78.
All works fine now <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>.
As a note, Mozilla.org has information which I just stumbled across regarding this problem.

Good link for us Moz users - thanx Chris! Isn't it funny how things go with these beasts. So many people (including me sometimes) have had trouble with the Logitech software. That's why I've gotten to the point where I don't even load it if I don't have to. Anyways, glad you found it (the problem, that is).
