    Remembering a value (Word 2000)

    Hi gang,
Thanks to you I have managed to pass a value between procedures using a Public Dim. Now I want to be able to save that value when the file closes and then continue from where I left off next time I use the file. I use the same template project for several files. I need to keep track of that value individually in each file.
    Could someone help me please.
    tks

In Word, you can create either (1) custom document properties or (2) document variables to store data more or less invisibly to the user.

There have been oh so many threads on which is better and why... most seem to give the nod to document variables. You can explore them in the VBA help for Word.
