Smilies (again?)

<img src=/S/bummer.gif border=0 alt=bummer width=15 height=15> I like the selection of 'smilies' available when preparing a post. Is there a way to use them inserted into a regular email <img src=/S/chatter.gif border=0 alt=chatter width=38 height=16>

Yes. Right click on one, choose save picture as,{save it to MY Pictures or create a new file called My Icons} and save it there. Then when you are creating an email just choose Incert and Picture and there you are.
Or you can use the little program I use that lets you Drag and Drop smilies into a Forum or an Email, and it comes with several Smilies and you can also drag a smilie you find, that you like, and drop it into this program to use later if ya want. EmotiPad II It's a great little program and very easy to use.

This works in Mozilla but I don't know about other browsers. Pretend you're going to make a new post and then click on the Smilies link to open that window. Right-click in an EMPTY spot (not on a smilie) and choose to SAVE as a COMPLETE HTML file to a folder on your hard drive. You'll then have an HTML file that displays all the smilies, AND a sub-folder containing ALL the GIF files to boot.

You can also right click and select the whole set of smilies and save them as you indicated. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Did download the program. Works on Email. NOW I'd like to insert the smilies into, say, text created by WORD. While using the smilies for email the animation remains, but using WORD the animation is lost. Will not WORD handle animated

Word is a word processor <img src=/S/fanfare.gif border=0 alt=fanfare width=31 height=23> which works on a screen <big>but</big> whose target medium is a much-less-intelligent humble piece of paper.

Consequently it doesn't support animated GIFs much in the same way is it doesn't support flashing text on the printed page, and only with some difficulty does it support "inverse video" on the printed page! (IMHO)
