You'll need to explain further. Are units in a field in the recordset or do you want to express a value in units using a calculation? And it isn't clear what the association is between quantity and units. Is there a units value for each quantity? Are the items sorted in any particular order?

    Charlotte,
Sorry for the lack of information. Yes units are in a field in the recordset. There is a unit value for each quantity. The report is ran daily, as many as 200 records per day. I have included a shot of the query that controls this report. Thanks for the help.

OK, what did you mean by sum the quantity? Do you just want to do an extension of Units * Quantity? What is the grouping like in the report? If you simply want a total by type somewhere like the report footer, it would be easiest to do it using a DSum unless your sorting and grouping groups by type.
