    Deleting from the clipboard (WordXP)

My Word macro copies some images from a document into the clipboard and pastes them into another document. However, I want to be able to restore the clipboard after the macro has run.

Is it necessary to reference a DLL to be able to programmatically deleting something from the clipboard?

I think you need to find the Windows API calls for this. Clipboard manipulation is something that lots of VB programmers have needed to do, and you should be able to find references on the web fairly readily. That said, I have no idea whether it is possible to save a blob of data off the clipboard and restore it later...

You might want to investigate the Spike command in Word. This command adds selection(s) to a temporary autotext entry and can then insert them somewhere else without using the clipboard.

In VBA help I think searching for AppendToSpike might get you started.
