    Outlook (2000)

I have a contact management database that resides on SQL server 2000. The database has a relational structure. I would like outlook to import these contacts and be able to write back to the database. I would be really grateful if any one has any good ideas or knows of some internet links that will help me in my quest. (We also use Exchange Server 2000)

    Many thanks

We use OAXfer to do this for a half dozen applications. Works great! Go to http://www.teamscope.com and take a look at a product called Outlook Datalink. You might find the $199 a bit stiff if it's for personal use, but I think it's the best tool of its kind out there.

Also, many of the mid-to-upper end CRM package provide a utility to synchronize with Outlook. The ones I've seen use an OEM version of Intellisync. You might look into that option for your software.
