First of all, go to Windows update & get the latest patches for your version of Windows & for IE. Go to http://www.google.com/advanced_search & do a search for Ad-Aware and for Spybot S&D. These two utilities will help find & remove adware & other pests that infect your computer. While you're there (Google), you can also search for unbranding+Internet+Explorer & see if you can find a utility to unbrand IE. I'm rushed right now so I can't look for the URLs. Sorry.
I attached the screen shot so people can see it. Those are BHO's or Browser Helper Objects. If Adaware and Spybot do not address those, then you need to look for BHO removing programs...
Here is a link for Spybot S&D and for Adaware.
If Spybot doesn't work, download Hijack This, run the program and save the log to your desktop as a txt file, then post it in the Browser Hijacking forum here. Unless you REALLY know what you're doing, don't attempt the "Hijack This" fixes until you get directions from the folks at the Net-Integration Forum.
Also very effective for prevention are Spyware Blaster and Spyware Guard, available from this web page .
It is important to update the reference files for ALL of these programs BEFORE you run them to ensure you have the latest database. Update the reference files and run them at least weekly to keep ahead of the bad guys.
Have a Great day!!!
Ken
