    Events in Outlook

I want to run some VBA code whenever any Outlook 2000 calendar item is changed (so I can update a remote database). I suspect I need an item-level event, but can't seem to get this working. Anybody know how to do this?

    Re: Events in Outlook

I'm coding Outlook from the other side, so I don't know the object model well enough to say. Sounds like a job for an application (With Events) event. Helen F. might be of some help. Have you been here: <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.helenfeddema.com>http://www.helenfeddema.com</A>

Thanks, Kevin. Helen has some useful stuff, but I can't find anything about item-level events, unfortunately.

    You might check here: www.slipstick.com/calendar/scheduleall.htm

You can download the "Enterprise Calendar" sample application. It might have the code you need in it.

Thanks, it's similar to what I need, but in a stand-alone VB program, I was hoping that using the Outlook events directly from inside Outlook would be simpler, but perhaps not!

What have you got so far? If you have pulled out less than half of your hair, you probably aren't trying hard enough. <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>

The online help for the ItemChange event seems pertinent; the example possibly could be tailored to your purposes. If it isn't working, post your code.

You're a star, thank you! Modifying the example code worked. I think my difficulty was in initialising the object in the withevents clause. I didn't think of using a collection, but I still have my hair!
