    SnapView error (A97 SR2)

    Hi,

I've got a db that exports some reports to a snapshot format on a daily basis. For some reason I am now getting a Runtime error '2465' Microsoft Access can't find the Field 'Forms' in your expression. This report works fine in preview or output to printer. I've seen this before but don't remember what resolved the problem.

Sorry to be so late in responding - have you solved your problem yet? The error message sounds as if something in the database may have been corrupted. You might want to try importing all the objects into a new empty database and then try repeating the process.

Yes, I have solved the problem. I thought I had posted my solution but I guess I forgot... I am using the outputto function to create .snp reports on our file server. It turns out that the folder was out of space and Access was not properly reporting that error. So the moral of the story is, if you get a '2465' error while trying to outputto, check your disk space.

Unfortunately Access errors are often a bit misleading - it gets pretty complicated trying to deal with errors at the OS level.
