    IF function (XP)

I've got a mental block here that I'm struggling with <G>. I'm trying to score a questionnaire where all the questions are answered "yes" or "no" or left blank. I'm using an If statement like this one:=IF(A1="yes",2,1). That gives me a 1 or 2 that I can calculate from. How do I get the Blank cells to return a zero? TIA, Roger

Aw! The IFBLANK solution was what I was looking for. I knew I could get some help here in minutes rather than stuggling with it. Thanks!
