Control Source in textbox on report (Access 2000)

I have a weekly statement which calculates the total amount of invoices that have a value owed. One of the columns have a hostess. Basically, this column is set to the hostess name from the query that the report is based on. If the hostess name is blank, I would like the control source of that column to equal to a different value in the query (In this case, it would be the invoice type)

Is this possable to change the controlsource of a text column in a report, based on the type of invoice?

    Thanks

    IF I'm understanding what you want correctly THEN.... <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Sure you can do this... Just use an IIF (immediate IF) statement in the Control Source for the text box....
For example... say the fields in the query are named "fldHostess" and "fldInvoiceType"...
In the Control Source property, enter... =IIf(IsNull([fldHostess]),[fldInvoiceType],[fldHostess])
