Can I safely delete uninstall info?

    Hi.

I've got ~300MB in files in my WINNT directory, which are all in folders called $NTUninstall... (or slight variations - there are a couple of different ones). Is it safe to delete these directories?

    Thanks.

    Stuart

I think you will find they correspond to Service Packs or patches - check your Add & Remove Programs for any matches.
The current feeling I believe is that if you can identify them and are happy you will never need to uninstall them, delete away. (If you have a CD burner, for the sake of the cost of a CD-R, I would copy them and delete them.)

Note: I've come across some 'installation' folders that include a file called "It is safe to delete this folder.txt" or similar - check for those.

    Leif, hi.

Thanks - it's more or less what I had suspected.

    Regards,

    Stuart
