Exchange 5.5 Organization Name Change

We have chnaged are organization name (o=) and therefore our domain name has changed. How do we change the organization name through out Exchange?

We seem to be getting undeliverable email due to the fact that the old domain name does not exist. Host Unknown.

Any suggestions?

Other mail servers allow you to create an "alias" to your true domain to account for the existence of other domains. Not sure where this would be in Exchange. Try searching for "multi-domain support" or similar keywords in the documentation.

This is not an alias problem. The old name is through out Exchange Server and has recently seemed to cause problems. Since we have changed domain names and no longer have the old name registered, it would be useful for us to change the old name to the new throughout the Windows registry for Exchange 5.5. The problem is that it seems that changing the "organizational Name" in Exchange needs setup to be run again or a reinstall and we would not like to do that at this time.

The problem is the Exchange database not the registry. If it is just the registry you can do that with regedit (as tiesome as it might be). But the Exchange database is a different story. Have you check any of the MS Exchange news groups? They have a lot of very knowledgeable people there.
