    Sorting Calendar (Office 2000)

I have a large number of calendar entries with recurring dates. I want to sort the entries in the "next" date order. Can anyone help?

    Re: Sorting Calendar (Office 2000)

That is a really good question. I searched through all the Apppointment Date and Time fields and could not find a "Next instance of recurring appointment" field. Unless I overlooked it, one would have to be created and recalculated every time Calendar is opened. That would be a bit of coding; perhaps one of the Loungers would be willing to take a shot at it.

Another thing Microsoft should have thought of.

I use categories for most of my appointment. If I view by category, the recuring entries are listed in date order. Don't know if it is the correct way to solve the problem as I found it my accident. But it seems to do!

Carras, I understood the request to show -next future instance- of a recurring appointment series. I can show first and last dates of a recrurring appointment series, but can't see how to show next instance. If you can do it can you explain how?

Recurring is a View | Current View opton. The default has a "pattern" column that displays something like "every Monday ..."

This is the best I could come up with.

Think I misunderstood the question. I have spent a little time trying to work out what I thought I'd found and I am still not sure. Will watch results with interest.
For the record I have a hand held which I syncronise with Outlook. On the hand held I can 'find' all occurences of some key word within a date range. They come up in date order - but it can be s l o w!
By the way I only check my email every couple of days.

What is the hand held application? (I have a Palm with most of the default software.)

    Re: Sorting Calendar (Office 2000)

My hand held is a Psion REVO and the application is the standard Agenda. PC and Psion are linked by the PSiWin software plus a REVO docking station. The docking station also recharges the REVO batteries. However no one told me that rechargable batteries wear out. My poor REVO had to go into 'hospital' earlier this year to have a battery replacement operation. Boy did I miss it!
Actually it has been a bad year for rechargeble batteries, mobile 'phone and electric tooth brush both gave out!

Note when I do a spell check several of my words are flagged as not on the Lounge Dictionary. Is there a way to get these words included? Examples are Psion, REVO, docking and rechargable!
