Access quits - on open table (2002)

I have an Access DB with 7 tables. Most of the tables open, however there are two that cause Access to quit every time you try to open in either view. The error is "Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close". I cannot get into the table at all. Any suggestions. Here is what I have tried. I have searched the MS KB but can't find a specific for this action. Thank you.

    Repairing the DB
    Repairing the Office installation
    Copied the table
Imported the same table from the original DB
Copied and pasted the design only
    Installed latest - MDAC 2.8
Changed compatibility version from 2000 to 2002
Removed all relationships to make standalone

Is there any code in the database or is it strictly tables? Are there memo fields in the tables that won't open? The message you're getting isn't an Access message, it's a Windows/Office message, so it's a bit hard to tell what is triggering it, but it is probably corruption.

There isn't any code and no memo fields. Just 5 text, 2 dtm fields. I have tried some of their remedies for the other Access problems listed in the MS KB but to no avail. Thankfully the table isn't that big so I could reproduce the table and maybe append the records.

    Thanks for you input,
    Steve
