Customise Save To list (Outlook 2000)

I'm running Outlook 2000 on Windows 2000 Professional.

When I save attachments I get a "Save Attachment" box that has a folder list on the left hand side containing "History, My Documents, Desktop, Favourites" icons that will take me directly to those folders. I then have an explorer view of a folder on the right where I can choose to save the file(s).

I'd like to add a custom location to the folder list on the left hand side as I use a "Download" folder all the time for these files rather than My Documents or anywhere else.

Can I add a new folder to this list and (if so) how?

In this dialog, is there a Tools menu on the right? If so, and you highlight a folder you would like to appear on the left side, a menu choice should become enabled to allow you to add the folder to "My Places." This is based on Outlook 2002 running on Windows XP Professional, so I can't say for certain whether you have these options. Does it work?

Yes, instructions for all versions of Office and Windows that support places bars are here:

    Excellent Mary. Thankyou.

I thought it would be a registry change somewhere but I was searching specifically on Outlook. I didn't think that it was way back in Office and I wouldn't have found the "Places Bar" by myself.

    many thanks.

I didn't see an option to add a folder to "My Places" on the Office 2000 menu. Thanks for the suggestion though.
