    footnote numbering option (2000)

    How do I set the footnote numbering so it always starts at "1" on each new page. I have a little macro I cpatured to insert footnotes, but everytime I run it the option gets set to consecutive -- even tho I set the option ot restart each page when recording it. Thx!

    Hi Randy:
    I found that if I changed:

    .NumberingRule = wdRestartContinuous

    to:

    .NumberingRule = wdRestartPage

    it changes the option.

    There's nothing like that in there. Here's the macro:

    Public Sub MAIN()
    WordBasic.NoteOptions FootnotesAt:=0, FootNumberAs:=0, FootStartingNum:="1", FootRestartNum:=0, EndnotesAt:=1, EndNumberAs:=3, EndStartingNum:="1", EndRestartNum:=0
    WordBasic.InsertFootnote Reference:="", NoteType:=0
    End Sub

    Change the number after FootRestartNum
    0 = 0 (zero) Continuous
    1 Restart Each Section
    2 Restart Each Page

    To get help on the syntax of this this and many other Word Basic commands, go to the Microsoft Download Centre and search for Word Basic Help - this will let you locate a downloadable help file.
