    Print spooling

Does anyone know if the default print spool location in Win98 can be changed? I would like to redirect the printing to a different hard disk

    Many thanks

I would suggest changing the DEFAULT PRINTER from the current one to the one that you want and leave the spooler alone.

The location of the print spool folder is hardcoded to the "SpoolPRINTERS" folder in your Windows folder. It can not be moved to another drive without moving all of W98 with it, IE, basically re-installing.

FYI: W2K does support relocation of the spool.

    Thanks for that

I hoped win98 might have provided the inspiration for the feature in win2k. Alas not.

What king of printer? Epson has a spool manager that can be redirected to a remote location. I haven't seen it with any other brand, unfortunately.
