    Noisy fans

    Just got a new Mac with dual 1.417 Ghz G4 processors. From what I have been able to find on the web these chips run hot! And because of that the fan noise is quite high. I've had the idea to replace the fans with something that cools as well, but (hopefully) aren't quite as noisey.

    Any ideas?

    And a google turns up quite a few projects, like this one. . Still don't see anything to retrofit my new Mac.

    Say, how about I retrofit a fridge. That way I can have <img src=/S/compute.gif border=0 alt=compute width=40 height=20> and <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>

    Someone posted a picture of a modded case that incorporated a coffee machine a few months ago. Coffee and computing seems a perfect combination to me, but a quick google failed to find the picture.
