XP Pro Path (XPP SP1)

My path appears to have a lot of garbage in it, could someone post a copy of their GOOD path, first few essential entries,
so that I can repair mine.

Thanks

There are many "paths" in Windows XP. Please explain which one your are referring to and how you are displaying this path.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

The original, essential, three items of data in the PATH system environment variable in Windows XP, which is used in the Command Prompt window, are:
C:WINDOWSsystem32;C:WINDOWS;C:WINDOWSSy stem32Wbem

I have C:BAT;C:JG; preceding these three items, and the soon-to-be removed 30-day-test version of Diskeeper 8 as a suffix.

As always, I'm delighted to say that your kilometerage may vary!

Thank you,
That is exactly the information I was looking for. That was the part that got scrambled, I had added Wbem but read someplace that it was the third item. All works fine now.
