I know you can disable or remap keys in Windows XP and 2000 by editing the registry thus
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlKe yboard Layout]
"Scancode Map"=hex:
I found this out via Jason Tsang's excellent advice on 'unflocking' the MS keyboard, and followed it up with tricks such as disabling the Capslock key or assigning any key to mute the dsound etc.
Having done that I've been given a more serious challenge. A correspondent is trying to set up XP for blind students so that they CAN turn on the Narrator etc with LeftWin + U but CAN'T lock the machine (or switch usere) with LeftWin + L.
Any ideas?
