Associate new data to existing data (2002)

I am looking for a way that I can query database
information and then add comments about the data that was
displayed using forms (Frontpage). I currently use forms to collect
survey information from my students. Now I want to be
able to click a button that allows me to comment on the
survey questions. The problem I run into is the
association between my comment and the survey question.
I can't figure out how to relate the two items so I can
refer back to which question I made comments. In other
words, I want my comment about student A, question 1 to
refer back to question 1 from student A. I am also
looking for the ability to allow multiple people to make
comments and have an e-mail get passed to the next person
in line once comments have been made. It would look like
    this;

Student answers questions using my form and that
information is stored in the database

I review the answers and make comments about a particular
    question(s)

A notice gets sent to the next person in the chain of
command letting him know that I have completed my review
and my comments have been done.

That person can then go and review the original questions
seeing my comments with the associated question and make
    his own comments if required.

    Thanks...

I'm confused about which application you're using. You mentioned FrontPage forms. Are you using Access as a data store behind the forms, or what? Is the data actually being stored in Access? Are you trying to add the comments from FrontPage?

Re: Associate new data to existing data (2002)

I figured I wouldn't be able to articulate exactly what I need very well. I have it all in my mind and find it difficult to write out. Thanks for responding. I am collecting and storing all of the data in Access. For people to see the data, I use ASP pages (forms). I host the web server with the database and IIS on it. I write the queries in Access and then use those to call (get) the data from the web. The problem is now I want the users to be able to add comments to an existing record using the web interface. They open a page and view one of my queries, then click on a button and it allows them to add comments that relate back to a specific record in the table. Hope this clears it up a little. Thanks again...
