justified text does not print well (Win XP, Off XP)

    Hi gang,
When fully justified my text does not print well. Looks good on the screen but ansfull when printing. The spacing is not even especially around thin letters (i.e. i, l). It's my printer drivers right?

So many things have to go right for this to work. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

In the print driver, take a look at whether your screen fonts and your printer fonts are identical or substituted, downloaded as outlines or bitmaps, etc.

In Word, take a look at the Tools>Options...>Compatibility settings. There are some involving justification and WordPerfect that can affect this (for better or for worse, I can't remember).

Font kerning also might come into play.

As Jscher says, Tools, Options, Compatibility and check "Do full justification like WordPerfect 6. x for Windows." This will get rid of the uneven spacing. Good luck.
