    Creating a Splash Screen (97)

    Could somebody please tell me if there is a way to create a "splash screen" in excel?

    I have created a user form but I can't find a setting to help me display the form for the duration of the code. (I want do this to convey a "Please wait" message to the user, I have set my screenupdating off for the duration of the code)

    I know I have used this in access before where I set the "pop up" field on the "Other" tab to yes, but I wonder if this is possible to do in excel?

    Many thanks
    Hayden

    You can, by doing it like this:

    Suppose your current macro is called "MacroThatNeedsSplash".

    Add a sub in a normal module:

    Sub RunAndShowSplash()
    Userform1.Show
    End Sub

    Now in your forms code :

    Private Sub UserForm_Activate()
    Me.Repaint
    MacroThatNeedsSplash
    Unload Me
    End Sub
