The Blue list (XP/all updates installed)

When I open Windows Explorer and view various directories, some of the files are listed in <font color=blue>blue</font color=blue> type. Why??? <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

Re: The Blue list (XP/all updates installed)

Blue="Compressed" (or, rarely, "Encrypted"). The backups taken at Service Pack and Hotfix installation produce compressed directories.

See Windows Explorer => Tools => Folder Options => View and scroll down to find a tick in front of "Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color".

    Ita, esto, quidcumque...
