    Can't copy files

I recently installed IE 5.5 SP1 onto my NT 4.0 SP6 workstation and suddenly I'm unable to move files from one directory to another: I can't copy & paste, I can't drag & drop. Nothing happens... at least not until the third or fourth attempt when the kindly Dr. Watson informs me that Explorer.exe has generated an application error, at which point Explorer.exe proceeds to disappear for a moment or two. I've uninstalled 5.5, and everything works fine. Upon reinstalling it, I get the same problem. I've uninstalled SP6 and reinstalled it, to no avail. Everyone in the organization here has the same setup, and I'm the only one with this problem - no one seems able to figure out what it is, and I can't find anything in the Knowledge Base. Has anyone seen this before? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

    Re: Can't copy files

    Hi Loftus:

The attached reg file will cure the problem in Win98. However, I do not have WinNT, don't know anything about it, & don't know if there's a difference SO:

If you decide to try this, back up the registry before trying. I'd look at the reg file & export the present keys before merging also.

    Hope this helps.
