Parameter list for an Excel add-in call

I would like to use the Data analysis linear regression tool in a VBA routine so that I can use data in arrays. Experimenting with macros I found the call:

    Application.Run "ATPVBAEN.XLA!Regress",.....

The parameters include the input ranges and output cell. Where can I get a list of the parameters needed? Thanks.

Re: Parameter list for an Excel add-in call

Peter, I just had had a quick look on the Microsoft knowledge base and searched for 'ATPVBAEN.XLA Regress' and got several matches. Ones that look close are Q103839 + Q96436.
    Hope this helps

Open the VBA project of ATPVBAEN.XLA with the password 'Wildebeest!!' (w/o quotes) to see the call ups.

Thanks for the information. The knowledge base articles are very helpful. The password didn't work on my version of Excel 2000. Another idea I had is to experiment with the Macro recorder until I get all parameters figured out.

Re: Parameter list for an Excel add-in call

PLinehan: It works for Excel 97 and I strongly doubt they changed the call ups (compatibility). You sure you used the right spelling, including the 2 exclamation points ? If you do not have access to a 97 version, then I can send you the calls as private post here in WOPR.

fatherjack: Well, there are plenty of password crackers around. A fairly good overview is <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.password-crackers.com/crack1.html>http://www.password-crackers.com/crack1.html</A>. The afore mentioned password was revealed by VBAKEY from "Pathologist", it takes approx. 35-40 _lines_ of code. As much for Microsoft security. Excel 95 projects are a little tougher, it will cost you up to 100$ (sigh...)

FYI, that worked on 97 FUNCRES as well.

Yes, my mistake. I missed the second exclamation point. That opened it up. Many thanks.
