    2000 to XP (2000/xp)

My computer at work is being changed out today. The new computers have Office XP. Will this make any difference with the Access databases I have created in 2000?

The default database format in Access 2002 is still the Access 2000 format, so you shouldn't have problems. Access 2002 reads and writes Access 2000 databases directly, without converting them.

There is one difference that came up earlier today in this forum: in Access 2002, you can only create MDE databases in Access 2002 format, not in Access 2000 format.

Thanks so much Hans. It was so nice to come in to a nice new Dell this morning! It's like lightening compared to that piece of junk they had me using. I even have a DVD drive now! <img src=/S/hugs.gif border=0 alt=hugs width=41 height=25>
