Text box borders (Word XP)

Using the drawing tool bar I insert a text box. The box has a line border around it. I would like to remove the border and have only the text aprear on the page. I have selected Border & Shading on the Format menu and a Border setting of none. Yet the border remains.

Re: Text box borders (Word XP)

I'm only using Word 2000, but assuming it's the same in XP instead of changing Borders and Shading... Try this...

Select the text box

Click the Format menu

Select Text Box

Change Line color from black to No Line[/list]HTH

Re: Text box borders (Word XP)

    Hi Jim:
The border is controlled by the Format/Textbox dialog box. Right click the text box border & choose Format/Textbox & set line color to nothing.
    Cheers,
