Bar of Pie... ??Bar of Bar (2000 SR1)

I know how to make a Bar of Pie chart in Excel. Is there any EASY way to change this into a Bar of Bar chart?

    TIA,
    gg

Does the thread starting at <post#=284695>post 284695</post#> give you any of the answers?

If not could you be a little more specific about your needs.

Please see attached file for John Walkenbach's Bar of Pie. How can I use that data set to make it a Bar of Bar?

    TIA,
    Georgette

Others will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that "Bar of Bar" can be realized with one Excel chart. You might create two separate bar charts that approximate the effect you want, but it would take a lot of manual fiddling, or a sophisticated macro.

    Or a minor variant?

I have put the Excel chart into PPT file so you can see what I want in Excel. What I REALLY WANT is the ungrouped and manipulated chart on the next slide... But I guess I cannot do that automatically... <img src=/S/bwaaah.gif border=0 alt=bwaaah width=123 height=15>

Thanks for getting me this far!!

    More like this?
I created the chart. Put no axes or gridlines and added the shape.

Excellent! Very sneaky formatting (using the "blank") and then making it "disappear!"

Thank you for all of your efforts,
    Georgette
