    New Ads

In this post Claude states that there are some Google ads in the bottom of every page. Two things:
    1) I don't see any ads... <img src=/S/scratch.gif border=0 alt=scratch width=25 height=29>
    2) IE loads some ads.woodyswatch.com address every while (it must be every 45 secs according to Claude's post), so in theory it seems there ought to be some advertising after all...
    Where are the ads??

For me, they appear below the thread, on the left hand side. See screen shot.

They work for me, also. I'm using Win2k and IE 6.0.

    Re: New Ads

I see them as well, with both Avant Browser (IE engine) and Safari (Mozilla). Been clicking on them as well. It's amazing what knowing about weight gain during pregnacy can do for your life ... <img src=/S/duck.gif border=0 alt=duck width=23 height=23>.

    Re: New Ads

As ads are not displayed you must be using ad-blocking software. I don't see the ads either, in my case they are blocked by Norton Internet Security.

    Re: New Ads

    Hey Hans,

    Nice screen cap! Who's that handsome dude in the pic? <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

So it seems it has to do with my flawed IE 5.0... oh boy, I swear I'll update one of these days. I've tried Opera (BTW: I've checked and ads do appear using Opera) but I don't quite like it. IMO IE beats it.
And Tony, no, I don't have any ad-blocking soft.

See in the attachment how IE displays the ads: no ads, but the bottom links and the Copyright stuff are crammed to the right, as if the links in fact were there. No hyperlink cursor appears either when I hover the mouse cursor over the area.

    Thanks for all the replies.

Edited by Diegol to add: note the 'Done' notification in the Status Bar, so it's safe to say that this annoyance isn't related to an IE-ain't-done-loading problem

    Re: New Ads

The Ads are in an IFrame and I'm don't think IE5 supports IFrames. It just ignores them.

I think that MS added IFrame support in IE 5.5

    Hi Brian,

There lies the problem. Mine's version is 5.0.
    Thanks!
