    Changing Default Account

Help! I am using Outlook 2000 in Corporate or Workgroup mode. I have 3 e-mail accounts that are checked when I Send/Receive, but I want to change the default account for Sending e-mail or to be able to select which account is sending the e-mail. It's changed from Outlook 98...any ideas???

do you need to use corp? if not, IMO handles it better.

your only option is to change the delivery order in tools > services

Thanks for your reply. Tried your suggestion on the Delivery tab, but it didn't change the default sending account. Also, you can't change the order in the Tools/Services/Services tab, or can you? If so, I don't know how....Maybe I have to re-enter them in the order I want them...Any help would be welcome!!

You can create multiple profiles, each with the information you wish to appear as your address and reply address, and start Oulook with the desired profile. Very inconvenient if you must switch back and forth frequently.

    Re: Changing Default Account

Actually found a workaround.....Outlook Delivery Tab puts services in alphanumeric order. My preferred sending account began with a "V" while the default account begins with an "A". So, to workaround, I just renamed the "V" account to begin with a "1" and eureka, the next time I sent an e-mail, it used the "1V" account as the sender. Still inconvenient if I want to use a different sender, but at least I have a new default account! Thanks for your help!

In CW mode, are you connecting to an Exchange Server? If so, the default "reply to" address is set on the Exchange Server.

I'm in CW mode but without using Exchange Server (although Outlook is using MS Exchange settings). Any other suggestions would be welcome!
