    Save Record Dialog (Access 2000)

    I am updating a record, and then getting that information back, but I keep getting this error:. Is there a way I can sapress it and force it to make a choice?

    You'll have to provide more details of the problem you're having.
    This dialog can be prompted from various situations.
    If you provide a series of events or even code which is activated "Before" this is prompted, the answer to your problem will come easier.

    What you need to do is track down the reason for it. Normally you see this when you are updating data from code and also setting values on a form from code. The value set conflicts with the update just performed and you get the message.

    You could try, ( After Updating The Record ) putting the following line immediately after the update command :

    DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord

    This may solve your problem.
