Printing Error in IE (Internet Explorer V6)

I have checked the Internet Explorer list of comments hoping to find a solution to my two print error. I failed so here goes from an ignorant user.
    1. I frequently try to print from a screen. There is a recurrent problem - the page setting is ALWAYS landscape and I have to remember to check the layout requesting the print. Too often I end up with two pages which would have fitted onto one.

    2. After clicking either the print icon or the PRINT option in the FILE menu, I get the following error
    Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occured in the script on this page
Line: 1210 followed by other details (why can't I copy the screen print and paste it in here - other people seem to have managed???)
Anyway - I trawled Microsoft and found a statement that the error is liked to a postscript printer and headings& footings. I removed the page number I had set in the footing and looked at the printer settings but do not know if that is all that I need to do. Whatever I am still getting the error occasionally.
Can anyone explain this lot in plain English please???
    Thank-you.

I think I've solved the paste problem - I've just attaced the WORD doc with the screen print in it!

    1. The default page orientation can be set in the printer driver. Start button > Settings > Printers > your printer.

    2. I think you are referring to this article: Error Message When You Attempt to Print a Web Page: An Error Has Occurred in the Script on This Page (MSKB 303486). It's really not clear to me what actually causes this errror. Presumably you are not printing EPS files... But I must say that I have used a PostScript driver (HP4M and HP4050) for years and have never gotten this error. So perhaps it's caused by something else, or IE has issues with your particular printer driver.

Thank-you, have sorted out the printer driver so with a bit of luck that is one problem solved.
The error message I found was the one you list. However I did not understand the following statement
    'Postscript Printer Driver
Clear the Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) output selection in the printer name Properties dialog box. '
I selected my printer (an Apollo P-1200) from the printer drivers, selected properties but could not find the EPS output selection.
Am I looking in the right place - if so which tab screen?
If not where should I be looking?
The drivers came with the package and uses HP cartridges. I did try to find alternative printer drivers but all I found is that the Apollo is an HP hybrid and there is nothing else out there.

I personally doubt that the MSKB article will help, but if the problem persists, you could explore around further.
