Birthdays etc. Outlook (Office 2000 SP 3)

For no reason I can discover many of my contacts show a Birthday or Anniversary. Usually on Jan 1 but on other dates as well. where does this factitious date come from and how can I eliminate it?

Re: Birthdays etc. Outlook (Office 2000 SP 3)

Sorry: maybe I didn't make my question clear. Many of my contacts in outlook automatically turn up with a Jan. 1 (at times another date) birthday or anniversary. I don't put this information in (it isn't correct) and it just turns up. Can anyone tell me how to prevent this.

    thanks

Ken the question was clear, but the absence of responses probably means that no-one knows why this is happening. I don't. Did you import data from another source? Perhaps one of the Loungers could write some code to clear these fields for you, but the code wold not be able to discriminate between "real" dates and bogus dates.

Yes, years ago I imported from another program. But it keeps happening. Thanks, I'll pass on the new code, eliminating my correct anniversaries.

    I appreciate your response.
