Re: Add Remove Programs (XP Pro)

You can get a good little utility program called Add-Remove Pro to do this. It will not only remove a program like the Windows AddRemove, but will also just remove an entry and will test the entries in Addremove to see if they are still valid. It's <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>

Get it at AddRemove Pro Click on link to freeware.

Hey, I tried that program, and have tried similar programs in the past, although the listing i am trying to remove appears in the add remove programs list, whenever i start one of these programs it will not appear in that programs list

    Not sure what that means??

Re: Add Remove Programs (XP Pro)

John Gray beat me to it on this.
There are two ways to remove an entry.
1,Highlight an entry in the standard list and click remove entry. OR
2.Click the all entries tab and scroll down to where the program is listed and then click remove entry from there.

One or the other should do it for you.

That's in the addremove PRO program, not the Windows ADDRemove.

Did you download the PRO version?

Open up, start>run>regedit. Click on Edit>find. fill in the name of the program you want to delete. click find.
As the reg finds instances to the outlaw program, highlight and hit delete. Run through the reg for all instances of that prog and delete them all.
