File Privileges (XP/2002)

I have Publisher XP installed and I cannot open files I've just created in this version. I can open older-version Publisher files, but not the new ones! They were created on this computer with this installation of Publisher, but once saved, they cannot be reopened. Please help!!!!!! Thank you in advance for any help!

I use Publisher 2000, so I don't know if this helps. But it seems there's a problem connected to Norton Anti-Virus. Here's the link to the KB article

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I do not run any Norton products.

But thanks for trying!

How are you trying to open the files?
Double click on the file? Publisher File Open dialog box? right click and select open? Something Different?

Can you try all of these to see if the same thing happens.

What happens when you try to open the file?
Nothing? An Error Message in a dialog box? Publisher Opens with a blank file? Something Different?

Can you give specific details of exactly what does happen.

Ok. I figured it out. A guy posted a fix under another thread that I started about CD Burning in XP. In a nutshell, the folders and files had to have their ownership changed to Administrators.

Thanks for your help, folks!
