    Report design question (A2k)

I have a report that I would like to print "continuously" instead of a separate record printing on each page. The report is set to columnar. Is there a way to do this?

There are several settings that control pagination in a report. The most important are:
<UL><LI>The Keep Together property of the Detail section (and of group headers and footers). If it is set to Yes, Access will try to print the section on one page; if it doesn't fit, it will start on a new page.
<LI>The Force New Page property of the Detail section (and of group headers and footers). If it is set to anything else than None, the section will be preceeded and/or followed by a page break.[/list]Check the settings of these properties.

Well, the keep together is set to Yes and the force new page is set to none. Maybe the section is just too large? Are there any other properties that I can adjust?

Good to see you back! I haven't been around the lounge much lately, as you've taught me so much over the past months that I rarely need help anymore!

    Hi Gabi,

Try setting the Keep Together property to No. This will allow the detail section to be printed "continuously".

Still working on your conference registration database, or is this a new project?

    Re: Report design question (A2k)

    Okay, I'll try that.

Yep this is the same one. I have it in production now and it's working famously! Now I'm adding bells and whistles and creating financial reports and things of that nature. But the whole registration portion is complete. As I've begun to use it I'm finding myself back to the drawing board every couple days to account for something that I'd not previously thought of, but fortunately I've learned enough along the way to pretty much get through it without bugging someone. I'm writing some rudimentary code on my own and learning more and more as I go. I can't thank you enough for all your help over the last 4 months, I never could have done this without you!

Glad to have been able to help, and also that you can now get on by yourself.
