    Attachments (XP)

    Hello,

    My office has recently upgraded to Windows XP, and we are having a few migration problems. One of them is that we send one another office documents to proof, they proof them, and then email them back as attachments. Problem occurs when we try to open the attachment. The computer finds that we already have a file with that name and asks if we want to merge the files together. Sometimes, it does the opposite of what is asked. Is there any way to turn this feature off?

    Go into Tools | Options | Preferences | Email Options | Advanced, and UNcheck the box marked "Add properties to Attachments to enable Reply with Changes." Which I got from item #2 in WOW V7-n52, several paragraphs down, see also the related link to the earlier WOW if you are curious.
