    Map to Address (2000/2)

Has anyone else experienced a redirect to a Microsoft Marketing site when they try to use the Outlook feature "Map to a Contact Address" by clicking the small yellow icon on the top of a Contact. The map to address on my system goes to: http://office.microsoft.com/home/default.aspx instead of the Expedia.com address it went to a couple of weeks ago.

Yes, this was brought up a while back. It appears that the agreement between Expedia and MS has expired and MSN is NOW providing the maps.
And it was a couple months back when this started.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Thanks, Dave. But when I click it I am redirected not to a mapping page at all, just an advertisement listing for Office 2003. I don't care who builds me a map, but I would like to get a map.

John, Although I am a novice and don't like playing around in the Registry, Poremsky's instructions worked wonderfully!! Thanks for the helpful tip.

This can be fixed with a registry edit. The edit instructions are at:

    http://www.poremsky.com/displaymap.htm

I just did this yesterday, and now Outlook 2000 works properly with the MapPoint site.

    Re: Map to Address (2000/2)

I followed the directions and it worked very well in Office 2003. Now when I click on the yellow box, a MapQuest map shows up -- the actual map to the contact's address. Great!
