OLXP: Best way to send SMTP emails... (XP)

    Hi,

Outlook can be configured with Yahoo! to download emails to a local PST file.

The attached screen-shot shows the dialogue box for these options.

As for sending, you can send via Yahoo! or you can send via your own ISP.

My Q. is: have you experimented with these 2 different options & if so, which one is better for you in terms of speed of sending & robustness?

    Thanks,

    m.q.

It depends on your local SMTP server and their pipe to the internet. My reason for choosing one over the other is the SMTP information in the header. Sending from yahoo includes their IP and server names. Use the local ISP if Yahoo is on fewer blacklists than your local ISP.

    Cool stuff.

What about speed of sending when a file is attached. Which is faster / more robust?
