WinXP and MM fonts (Win XP / Adobe 6.0)

I have downloaded MM Fonts for use on a creative for a client, and Windows XP is not able to install the fonts through Adobe Type Manager. Vendor from where the fonts were purchased sent a fix for ATM from the Adobe.com website but this did not resolve the issue.

What are MM fonts? Can you give a link to get me up to speed on this?

    Jefferson,

Multiple Master fonts appear to allow a range of properties (such as light to dark, or condensed to expanded) in a single font. See for example http://partners.adobe.com/asn/developer/pd....ATM_MM_Mac.pdf

Uhhh... I followed up until it got into 4 dimensions. I'm afraid I don't have any useful experience with non-TrueType fonts since about 1996. I don't recall anything this complex back then.
