MS VB IN WORD 2000 (2000)

When Opening Word 2000, a little Window opens MS VISUAL BASIC, Compile error in hidden Module:
AutoExec OK and Help. I inserted the MS Office 2000 Prof disk, cliked HELP and it tells me to Unhide
this Module ? Hmmm where is it ? Haven't changed anything in Word - that I know of and this window pops up on opening Word or Closing .. Thanks in Advance if anyone has a suggestion or Idea - .....te

This will be an error in an Add-In. Have you installed any software lately?

To try and identify the failing software you can follow the steps in <post#=197827>post 197827</post#>

Re: MS VB IN WORD 2000 (2000)

Hi, Here is what I get :Compile error in hidden module: <module name>

A protected module can't be displayed. This error has the following cause and solution:

There is a compilation error in the code of the specified module, but it can't be displayed because the project is protected.
Unprotect the project, and then run the code again to view the error.

don't know what I protected ? hmmm got rid of items in Temp folder , let them reside in recycle bin, til I find they are not needed. Have to read some more of your suggestions.
    Thanks .......te

I went to that first MSKB article ahla -Move the Pdfmaker.dot file and the Pdfmaker.xla file (if present) from the Office or Excel Startup folder to a different folder on your hard disk (for example, the My Documents folder). To do this, follow these steps.
there WAS a PDFmaker.dot file - moved it per MS suggestions and it worked - it was something about a signed certificate from Adobe ? that had expired or about to - THANKS MUCH VERY HELPFUL....TE

If Word is getting upset about a certificate, it probably means you have macro security set to High. If you can't live without these add-ins (I suspect you can live without them), you could downgrade your security to medium and see if that solves the problem.
