    mouse settings change

I just upgraded to a tripple boot PC by adding XP Pro, the only thing I'm dealing with is that when I switch back to W2k, my mouse settings are back to the default (without the motion settings). I update it, then go into XP, then back to W2k and I have to reset again. Isn't that strange? Each OS is on a separate partition.

    Re: mouse settings change

I have no experience with a triple boot system, but is it possible that your mouse settings are being maintained in an .INI file stored in some common directory created by the mouse manufacturer's installation software? I can't imagine why re-booting to another OS and back would change the mouse settings in the former unless W2K is changing something stored in a location commonly available to XP... When you're in W2K are the mouse settings the way you prefer?

I thought it was strange too. The settings stay correct in XP, but always change in W2k each time I boot to it. I haven't looked at any .ini files yet. I wonder if I should reinstall the drivers for W2k to see if that does anything.

You do have each OS in it's own partition drive?

Are you ising the 2K drivers when you are trying to update them?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Each OS are on it's own partition.

I have not "updated" the drivers in W2k yet. I was going to re-download them from Logitech.
All I have done is to change the settings in the Control Panel, which stay until I reboot from W2k, to XP, then back to W2k.
