Can't see system tray arrow (XP Pro)

I just added XP to my third parition and everything works fine in XP, but I can't see the "hide/display" system tray arrow at all. Items come and go from the tray, but I can't get to them without the arrow. How can I get this to display? I've checked all the settings I could find.

Re: Can't see system tray arrow (XP Pro)

The arrow sometimes disappears on my system. I get it back as follows:
    - If necessary, unlock the task bar (it is an option in the right-click menu of the task bar.)
    - Change the height of the task bar to display more rows.
    - Change the height back to what it was. This should restore the arrow. <img src=/S/crossfingers.gif border=0 alt=crossfingers width=17 height=16>
    - If desired, lock the task bar again.

I tried all the height changes before, and nothing. I got it finally to show up by adding more items to be forced to the "always hide" mode.

    Thanks for your help!
