    Database query (xl2000/sr1)

I want to learn to use the SQL.REQUEST feature in excel.
    Can someone get me started?

Where is there a public database that I could access and practice without having a password?
Do I need the msquery software? or xlodbc.xla or other addins etc. If so, are they part of the Excel package or are they 3rd party?

Any online resources that are really introductory but to the point?

    thanks
    Paul

MS Query is an add in that is included with Excel. The Help menu in MS Query might be of some help. Also check out http://www.kx.com/technical/tutorials/excel/

    Good Luck

    Thanks
    We're up and running.

I also found a good tutorial for anyone else interested:
